Recruiting children and young people

We've launched #DreamBigAtHome!

Our new lockdown website has hundreds of activities and games to do at home, weekly challenges to try and a regular programme of live workshops and events online, as well as information on how our groups can operate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

There are many different ways to recruit children to join Woodcraft Folk. Some tried and tested ways include:

  • Help children and young people already in the group to create a poster or leaflet promoting the group. See the Growing Groups page for more info and session plans.
  • Run outreach activity in school, at a local event or in your local park. Detailed guidance and example plans can be found on our outreach guidance page
  • Let other members and supporters of Woodcraft know you're starting / developing a group via Facebook

Contact the Woodcraft Folk office if you'd like us to send you free publicity materials to help you with these activities, or download and print publicity materials from the website. And visit the publicity guidance page for more ideas.
